Purata jangka hayat rakyat menurun, kata Jabatan Perangkaan

Menurut statistik Jabatan Perangkaan, jangkaan hayat di negara ini mencatatkan penurunan sejak 2020 disumbangkan oleh faktor peningkatan lebihan kematian semasa pandemik Covid-19. – Gambar fail The Malaysian Insight, 28 September, 2022.

Berdasarkan statistik berkenaan golongan perempuan dijangka hidup lebih lama berbanding lelaki dengan perbezaan jangkaan hayat 4.5 tahun pada 2022. Bagi lelaki dan perempuan berumur 60 tahun pada 2022 masing-masing dijangka hidup selama 17.5 dan 20.1 tahun lagi iaitu sehingga usia mereka sekitar 77.5 tahun dan 80.1 tahun .
