They said it was best for suspects to be charged later, the courts to impose lighter sentences or they be issued tickets to pay a compound. Gunaseelan said the government could also be sued for negligence by family members of prisoners if they succumb to the virus. Zulkifli had sent a letter dated April 2 to chief registrar of the Federal Court Ahmad Terrirudin Mohd Salleh to consider implementing his proposal.

He said offenders could do social work after the MCO was lifted but also felt the court could impose lighter sentences as the offence was committed during an exceptional time.

Ask them to do community service after MCO😑

If compound, make sure it is punitive, eg not less than 50% of maximum fines by court, & they cannot njoy discounts that r always offered by d police.

Infect them with covid19. Easy. If they die, good. If they survive, issue a ticket. RM500 is enough.

Send to hospital and do mandatory labor (errand boy, cleaner, etc)
