Prabakaran menang dengan majoriti 22,241 selepas mengumpul 45,716 undi keseluruhan, jauh meninggalkan pesaing terdekat Chua Tian Chang @ Tian Chua, iaitu bekas naib presiden PKR yang bertanding atas tiket Bebas, yang hanya memperoleh 4,603 undi. Tiga calon Bebas iaitu peguam Siti Zabedah Kasim atau lebih dikenali sebagai Siti Kasim, pempengaruh media sosial Nur Fathiah Syazwana Shaharudin @ Cleo dan Too Cheng Huat juga hilang wang deposit dalam cubaan mereka untuk merebut kerusi parlimen berkenaan.
