Postponing Umno polls for stability, not to save my position, says Zahid

The Umno president scoffed at claims that the move was to protect his party position, calling it a “narrow-minded” mindset.

“It is quite shallow of anyone, including those within our top leadership, to have such a narrow-minded mindset. The main agenda of the special meeting was to amend Umno's constitution to allow party elections to be held six months after GE15.

Yeah right. Zahid is being propped up by the Division Chiefs. The ones who want to tinker with Umno Consti to delay party elections all have huge survival stakes in the status quo namely Zahid's faction and Division Chiefs. It is definitely not about grassroot interests.
