Pengarah Komunikasi Korporat UM, Izad Raya berkata, pihaknya menutup portal sebaik mengesan insiden itu bagi membolehkan siasatan dan kerja pembaikan dilaksanakan.“Sistem jaringan sudah diaktifkan semula, namun portal e-pay masih menjalani ujian dan akan diaktifkan semula dalam masa terdekat,” katanya dalam kenyataan dikeluarkan hari ini.Bagaimanapun, pasukan forensik sistem maklumat UM sedang membuat siasatan lanjut.
Portal itu dibangunkan untuk kemudahan kepada penuntut membayar yuran, denda dan lain-lain perkhidmatan berkaitan.Pengguna Twitter turut memuat naik gambar mendakwa laman web itu digodam hingga menyebabkan berlaku kebocoran data. Kejadian turut dikaitkan dengan protes graduan UM Wong Yan Ke, 23, ketika majlis konvokesyen yang mendesak Naib Canselor universiti itu meletak jawatan.
