Bukit Aman Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department Comm Datuk Mat Kasim Karim said the payment counters were closed from 2pm on Friday ."We also want to prevent any violation of the standard operating procedure and prevent the spread of Covid-19," he said when contacted.
Comm Mat Kasim said the counters at KLCC will not be reopened and advised the public to go to district and state police headquarters to pay their summonses."We hope the public can cooperate and settle their summonses at these locations," he said.Checks at around 10am on Friday showed that lines for the summonses payments have extended past the entrance to the 100-Day Aspirasi Keluarga Malaysia exhibition.
Police officers can be seen outside advising those with summonses to go to the nearest police headquarters.However, the hall remains crowded with many still waiting since 9.30am.
