City police chief Comm Datuk Azmi Abu Kassim said they received a report over the protest at around 3.04pm on Saturday ."They will be called up to have their statements taken by the Dang Wangi police soon," he said in a statement on Saturday.
He said if they had enough evidence, these individuals would be issued compound notices for offences under Section 21A of the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act and Rule 17 of the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Regulations."We advise the public to comply with standard operating procedures under the National Recovery Plan and refrain from involvement in any assembly taking into consideration the Covid-19 pandemic that has affected the country," he said.
It was reported that police would take statements from five Sekretariat Solidariti Rakyat members on Sunday over their roles as organisers of the 'Keluar dan #Lawan' protest here. In a statement on Saturday, Sekretariat Solidariti Rakyat said the five were called to have their statements taken at the Dang Wangi police headquarters at 10am on Sunday.
The five are Mohamad Al Shatri Abdullah, Mohammad Asraf Sharafi Mohammad Azhar, Tharmelinggem Pillai, Qyira Yusri dan Sevan Doraisamy.
