Selangor police chief Comm Datuk Arjunaidi Mohamed said a raid was conducted on the nightclub at around 12.15am on Wednesday ."Two police officers, an Assistant Superintendent of Police who is from Petaling Jaya police headquarters and an Inspector from Bukit Aman were at the premises together with other patrons during the raid," he said in a statement.
He said no arrests were made and no cash was seized from the two officers as alleged by certain quarters. Earlier on Wednesday, messages had been circulated claiming that the two policemen had been caught at a nightclub and one of them was found with a bag of cash. Comm Arjunaidi said the case would be referred to the Integrity and Standards Compliance Department to determine whether it involved disciplinary offences.
"We would like to stress that the police will not compromise with police officers or personnel who break the rules or taint the image of the force.
