Police detain ‘Superman Hew’ over seditious remark

Police detain former DAP member Hew Kuan Yau for allegedly making seditious comment during an election campaign speech on November 17. – Facebook pic, November 23, 2022.

In a statement, Pahang police chief Ramli Mohamed Yoosuf said Hew, also known as “Superman Hew”, made the speech in Cantonese in Raub, Pahang. “On November 17, Pahang police had opened an investigation paper on Hew for allegedly making seditious speech at a political party ceramah in Raub.
