"We have arrested a 37-year-old and his 27-year-old wife in Taman Puchong Perdana on Feb 17. The male suspect has two prior police records.
"He is one of the sons of the murdered victim," said Selangor CID chief Senior Asst Comm Datuk Fadzil Ahmat when met during a handover ceremony at the Sepang police headquarters on Wednesday . He said investigations are ongoing to determine the motive behind the murder and both suspects had been remanded until Feb 24.
On Friday , the 65-year-old victim was slashed by an unidentified individual as he was passing by the LRT station at Puchong Perdana on his way to the mosque. On Wednesday, former Sepang police chief ACP Abdul Aziz Ali bid farewell to the position he had been serving in since 2015.The handing over of duties ceremony was overseen by Selangor police chief Comm Datuk Noor Azam Jamaludin.
