KUALA LUMPUR: The government is of the view that the action taken related to the revocation of the Emergency Ordinances is proper, and in accordance with the Federal Constitution and the rule of law, says the Prime Minister's Office (PMO).

In a statement on Tuesday , it said that Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin had stressed that in carrying out all of his duties, it is important for him to act based on the constitution and the rule of law.

In a statement earlier, the King also expressed dismay that the revocation of the ordinances was not presented in Parliament by the government. The PMO explained that as a preparation for the special Parliament sitting, the Cabinet, on July 21, had a detailed discussion and made several decisions."Secondly, the Cabinet will not advise the King to proclaim an extension of the Emergency after it ended on Aug 1, 2021.

You repeal a law, not revoke. The Sovereign gives assent to a bill, not consent. Know the differences.

PM don’t address the nation issue memo..

Are PMO rebutting ..

Say what you want. I stand by my King DaulatTuanku

Going against Agong? Wow.

PMO is not wrong?

Omg...someone is wrong then...

If so....why is YDP Agong 'EXTREMELY SAD'?

So PMO is saying that the Palace is wrong?

The question here is whether YDPA has assented to the revocation?
