SEREMBAN, April 23 ― A Special Cabinet Committee for Protecting Vulnerable Groups has been set up to safeguard the welfare of these people, especially children, persons with disabilities , women and senior citizens, said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
He said the committee would ensure that all care centres are operated according to procedure in line with the Care Centres Act 1993.

Why do we need committee. Why not review under whose jobscope is this? Redundancies and too many stakeholders make it difficult to move but few round of golfs should tackle it.

Say what? Isn't the Women, Family and Community Development Ministry supposed to have that very purview & duty? If it isn't working, then heads should roll instead of setting up yet another special committee. Sack the Minister, not reward her by making her job easier.
Apparently the ministry in charge has not been doing its job well. Almost zero enforcement of laws. Their solution is to set up a committee to do the job of the ministry and all members of the committee get wage hikes. A classic Sabri (Mara Mall) non-solution.
