KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 21 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob announced the establishment of Regional Planning Committees for states in the north of Peninsular Malaysia, after approving the 4th National Physical Plan and the National Coastal Zone Physical Plan-2 today.
“The National Physical Plan is the highest-level document in the national land use planning system. In accordance with the requirements of the provisions under subsection 6B of Act 172, the RFN shall be reviewed every five years, in accordance with the preparation of the Five-Year Malaysia Plan or if and when directed by the MRFN.
Ismail added that RFN4 has outlined three development thrusts, 11 strategic directions, 39 strategies and 120 actions covering all areas of physical, economic, environmental and social planning.
