Raising funds for animal welfare is a very difficult task, more so now when times are hard.

“That is why we are very grateful when we receive offers to help raise funds as well as provided with premises to have our activities," said canine welfare project Malaysian Dogs Deserve Better event and project coordinator Derene Lee.

“We will be at The Square, Jaya One, Petaling Jaya conducting our monthly adoption drive, as well as at One Utama Central Park to participate in an event organised by social enterprise PledgeCare," she said. She said MDDB's disabled dogs, Patch and Rebecca, would be at Central Park to greet visitors whilst canine youngster Luna would be manning the kissing booth.

She said MDDB was hoping to raise enough funds to settle some bills at the Gasing veterinary Hospital, as well as buy rice for the dogs.
