PETALING JAYA: A road accident at the New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE) has led to one death.

According to Selangor Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief Supt Azman Shariat, the accident occurred along KM22.1 of the NKVE at 5.12am Thursday .

"The accident was believed to have been caused after the victim crashed his car into the back of a lorry.The deceased has been identified as 35-year-old pilot Mohd Hafiz. Supt Azman said the case has been classified under Section 41 of the Road Transport Act 1987 for causing death by driving recklessly.

He also urged witnesses to contact investigating officer Insp Mohd Hafeez Faesal A. Aziz at 011-3231 1232 or the nearest police station.
