PETALING JAYA: Pharmaniaga Bhd has acknowledged an apology by former radio announcer and actor Patrick Teoh who had made several allegations against the pharmaceutical company on his Facebook page last month.

Pharmaniaga said it was made aware of misleading allegations by Teoh on his personal account on July 22, which they say brought “disrepute to the company”.“Although we respect differences of opinion, we do not tolerate slander and false allegations,” it said in a statement Tuesday .

Pharmaniaga said it would not hesitate to take legal action against anyone that continued to malign the reputation and integrity of the company. "Let us all be responsible Malaysian citizens and be very careful when making or sharing unverified comments to avoid misinformation to the public," they said.

Teoh made an unconditional apology to Pharmaniaga on his Facebook page on Monday , saying that there was no foundation to the allegations made in his original post. In his post last month, Teoh had made several allegations against Pharmaniaga, after it was reported that they would be selling 14 million doses of the Sinovac vaccine to interested states and private companies from July to September.
