KUALA LUMPUR: Mahkamah Sesyen di sini hari ini memerintahkan Datuk Peter Anthony membela diri terhadap pertuduhan memalsukan dokumen berhubung kontrak penyelenggaraan sistem Mekanikal dan Elektrikal di Universiti Malaysia Sabah , tujuh tahun lalu.
Mahkamah menetapkan perbicaraan disambung selama lima hari berturut-turut bermula 3 Januari tahun depan dengan mendengar keterangan tujuh saksi pembelaan. Sementara itu, Timbalan Pendakwa Raya Wan Shaharuddin Wan Ladin memohon agar pihak pembelaan menyerahkan kenyataan pembelaan dan kenyataan saksi seminggu sebelum perbicaraan.Perbicaraan terhadap tertuduh bermula 5 April lalu dengan mendengar keterangan 15 saksi pendakwaan.
Peter sebagai Pengarah Urusan Asli Jati Engineering didakwa memalsukan surat pejabat Timbalan Naib Canselor UMS bertarikh 9 Jun 2014 dengan memasukkan pernyataan palsu pada tajuk surat itu dengan niat untuk menipu.
