KUALA LUMPUR: The state executive councillor accused of raping his Indonesian maid may be asked to take leave if the police investigations take too long, says Perak Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu .
"There are no criminal charges yet but if the investigation drags on too long, he may be asked to take leave," Ahmad Faizal told reporters at Parliament lobby Thursday. Asked if it was best to limit Yong's work, Faizal agreed, saying that it was best not to interfere with police investigations.
