IPOH: The state executive council line-up will be decided once the Covid-19 pandemic is controlled, and the movement control order (MCO) lifted, says Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu.

The Perak Mentri Besar said the appointment of the exco members had to be postponed because the MCO was announced just five days after he took oath as the 13th mentri besar of Perak.“I would like to make it clear here that with my appointment as the mentri besar, the state government can function fully, ” he said in a speech during a live session with the Perak FM radio station here Monday .

Faizal said with the close cooperation from the state secretary and all of the administrative personnel, he had been able to carry out the administrative process smoothly. “With the MCO, the administrative operations, and daily matters are focused on services to the people who require assistance.Faizal said for now, it was important to curb Covid-19.“The Kinta and Hilir Perak districts are in the red zone, with 74 and 53 cases reported, respectively," he said.
