Perak Tengah OCPD Superintendent Barudin Wariso said they are watching several of these groups that are sharing information about locations without roadblocks.
"We are also having spot checks and patrols at several locations we believe are potentially alternative routes , even if these are quite far away."They should be more afraid of an enemy that cannot be seen. Supt Barudin said the police set up a roadblock at KM3 of Jalan Gelung Pepuyu-Beruas, which is among several alternative roads connecting Perak Tengah with Manjung and Taiping on Friday ."Among the reasons the motorists gave included wanting to send laksa to grandfather's house, visiting their mothers whom they have not seen for a long time while some thought there would not be a roadblock there.
"There are also some who played dumb, claiming they do not know that district-crossing was not allowed," he said, adding that the roadblock would be manned 24 hours a day. "We have issued five compounds to the offenders, aged between 27 and 53, for crossing districts into Perak Tengah without permits," he added.
