Sim Wei Der dihadapkan ke Mahkamah Sesyen Johor Bahru hari ini atas pertuduhan bersuhabat melupuskan buangan terjadual ke Sungai Kim Kim, Pasir Gudang, awal Mac lalu.
Tertuduh, Sim Wei Der, 50, yang merupakan warga Singapura dan menjadi pengarah syarikat itu sejak 2017, mengaku tidak bersalah terhadap pertuduhan yang dibacakan di depan Hakim Jailani Rahman. Perbuatan itu dilakukan antara 12.01 tengah malam dan 1 pagi 7 Mac lalu, berhampiran kawasan tapak projek pelebaran jambatan Sungai Kim Kim, Jalan Kota Masai 1, Pasir Gudang.
Terdahulu, Pengarah Pendakwa Johor, Amir Nasruddin memohon mahkamah tidak membenarkan Sim diikat jamin kerana mengambil kira perbuatannya yang serius sehingga memberi kesan kepada ramai penduduk yang terdedah kepada pencemaran itu.
