Hakim, Abdul Halim Aman turut menambah hukuman 9 bulan kepada setahun kerana kata-kata menghasut dikeluarkan Wan Ji ialah penghinaan kepada Sultan Selangor. “Setelah menimbang faktor mitigasi dan keseriusan kes, mahkamah dengan ini meminda hukuman 9 bulan yang dijatuhkan hakim Mahkamah Sesyen kepada penjara 1 tahun dan hukuman itu berkuatkuasa hari ini.”
Beliau turut mengingatkan Wan Ji mengenai prinsip setia kepada raja serta kesopanan dan kesusilaan yang termaktub dalam Rukun Negara.“…kita kena ingat kepada prinsip Rukun Negara, iaitu kesetiaan kepada raja-raja.
