GEORGE TOWN: More than 400 Penang athletes will be joining the Malaysian Games in Johor in July this year despite the Covid-19 outbreak.

“We expect our athletes to take part in more than 30 individual and team events in Sukma, ” he said during a press conference after attending the"Overview and Updates on Covid-19" talk at the Han Chiang School hall in Jalan Lim Lean Teng on Saturday . “As long as the athletes are approved by the MSNPP, they are allowed to travel overseas to take part in competitions in any country, except China.“Due to a surge in the number of Covid-19 cases in both countries, we had to put off some of the athletes’ training schedules in both countries.“For bowling, we also have athletes scheduled to train in South Korea.
