PETALING JAYA: Pemandu wanita yang dipenjara enam tahun dan denda RM6,000 atas tuduhan memandu secara melulu sehingga menyebabkan kematian lapan remaja, memfailkan kebenaran merayu.
Keputusan itu dibuat Hakim Mahkamah Tinggi, Datuk Abu Bakar Katar selepas mendapati pihak pendakwaan berjaya memutuskan kes prima facie di akhir kes pendakwaan. Peguam wanita itu turut memohon penangguhan pelaksanaan hukuman ke atas responden yang mana hukuman bermula dari tarikh sabitan, bagaimanapun hakim tidak membenarkan penangguhan selagi tidak menerima kebenaran merayu daripada Mahkamah Rayuan.
