IPOH: The representative of a maid agency testifying in the rape trial of former Perak executive council member Paul Yong told the High Court that she never received a call from the victim's employer specifically asking about the mental status of the maid.

Chor Pei Sun, 47, who works as a sales and marketing representative for the company, said the employer, a certain"Mrs Yong", had called her once to check on the progress of the victim's Foreign Workers Medical Examination Monitoring Agency application.

"I never received a call from the employer asking me about her mental condition – it was only on her medical status," she said during the hearing before Judge Datuk Abdul Wahab Mohamed. Earlier during cross-examination, Yong's counsel Salim Bashir had asked Chor if she was aware of a mental medical report of the maid back in Indonesia, to which Chor said she could not remember.
