IPOH: Tronoh assemblyman Paul Yong Choo Kiong is welcome to join Gerakan but he should settle his court case first, says the Perak party chairman.

However, See said that Yong did not make contact with Gerakan at the state level.“But I hope he settles his court case first. He should know, ” See said during a press conference here on Sunday .Yong had reportedly said that he had received invitations to join several political parties.

Sivasubramaniam and Titi Serong assemblyman Hasnul Zulkarnain Abd Munaim had declared themselves as independents following the collapse of the Pakatan Harapan state government in March.Separately, See said the party could contest in more state and parliamentary seats in the next general election.“We could possibly go all out in the Kinta Valley, ” he said.

In the 14th General Election, Gerakan contested the Beruas, Taiping and Teluk Intan parliamentary seats as well as the Aulong, Jalong and Canning state seats.
