The Islamist party's youth wing offered its condolences to Kumutha's family and said her contributions and sacrifice will be remembered and be an inspiration to many others.It is learnt that Kumutha, who works as a legal officer, passed away due to Covid-19 complications in Damansara early Tuesday.
She joined the party as a member of the PAS supporters club in 2007, and was appointed head of the club’s Johor chapter since 2013. Kumutha also stood as the party’s candidate for the general election three times in the Tiram and Johor Jaya state seats in 2008, 2013 and 2018, but did not manage to win.
For her loyal support, she was given a special award at the 58th PAS Women’s Wing general assembly held on the sidelines of the annual PAS muktamar held in Terengganu in 2018.
