Dewan Negara president Rais Yatim says the law should be amended to allow parliament its own financial and administrative resources. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, January 27, 2023.

He said this can be achieved by amending the Parliamentary Services Act 1963 and the Houses of Parliament Act 1952. “... We have to ask one question: how do we change the scenario? The answer we change the law,” he said during the “Parliament Lecture Series 1.0: Resetting the Malaysian Economy” in Kuala Lumpur today.
