Forty-five-year-old private sector worker, Mohd Yusof Abd Karim, said people should not be complacent after the easing of restrictions by the government under the National Recovery Plan .“Although I am fully vaccinated, I follow the SOP strictly whenever I go out.

“They have been cooped up with me in the house as I work from home, and this is our first outing since the NRP began.Sharing the same view is civil servant Ahmad Fahmi Zakaria, 38, who said that parents should play a key role in keeping their children safe when going out of the house. “We cannot go back to the way it has been before,” he said, adding that he was not comfortable going outdoors and would avoid public gatherings for now.

Meanwhile, Ayuni Allaudin, 23, said she took the opportunity to bring her three-year-old son to the beach as they had not had the chance to spend time outside together in a long time.
