Beliau berkata, selama tempoh berkabung, semua bendera negeri dikibarkan setengah tiang dan untuk tempoh tiga hari pertama iaitu bermula hari ini sehingga 12 tengah hari Sabtu, tiada acara keraian atau hiburan dibenarkan.Sallehuddin berkata, jenazah almarhum Paduka Ayahanda Sultan Ahmad Shah akan dikafankan di Istana Negara di Kuala Lumpur sebelum diterbangkan ke Pangkalan Udara Kuantan, petang ini.
“Rakyat dibenarkan melakukan solat jenazah sama ada secara bersendirian atau berjemaah di balairong,” katanya pada sidang media di Wisma Sri Pahang, Kuantan hari ini. Sallehuddin berkata, istiadat rasmi pemakaman dijadualkan bermula 9 pagi esok dengan jenazah almarhum dibawa ke persada di Istana Abu Bakar untuk penghormatan terakhir oleh kerabat dan orang kenamaan, bermula 11 pagi.
Sallehuddin juga mengesahkan Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah yang kini berada di luar negara dijadualkan berangkat ke Istana Abu Bakar pagi esok.
