PETALING JAYA: Only higher secondary school students sitting for exams can return to school on Jan 20, says the Education Ministry.

The ministry said a discussion was held with the Health Ministry and the National Security Council , and it was decided that physical schooling sessions for students nationwide would only be for those sitting for their Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia , Sijil Vokasional Malaysia , Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia , Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia , Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia , Diploma Vokasional Malaysia , as well as international examinations for the 2020 batch.

Parents and guardians are allowed to pick up their children at any given time by following the guidelines sent. The same applies for the 2020 batch of Form Five and Form Six students as they can follow physical classes in schools until their examinations are over.“For operational purposes, all teachers need to return to their duty stations by Jan 20.

It added that matriculation college students would need to remain in their respective colleges to continue hybrid learning.
