KESATUAN Perkhidmatan Perguruan Kebangsaan Malaysia mencadangkan pemberian insentif khas kepada guru yang melanjutkan pengajian di peringkat Ijazah Sarjana dan Doktor Falsafah dalam bentuk Hadiah Kenaikan Gaji secara tahunan. Presidennya, Aminuddin Awang berkata pihaknya mencadangkan kepada Kementerian Pendidikan agar guru yang mula berkhidmat menggunakan Ijazah Sarjana Muda dan kemudian menyambung dan tamat pengajian di peringkat MA diberi insentif dua kali HKG manakala PhD pula menerima empat kali HKG.
