Jangan kuatkan sentimen negatif terhadap tahanan, kata ketua pengarah kesihatan. FMTNews KKM Covid19

PETALING JAYA: Ketua Pengarah Kesihatan, Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah menegaskan sentimen negatif terhadap tahanan warga asing tidak boleh menjadi pemangkin diskriminasi dalam hal menyelamatkan nyawa.

Menyeru sentimen negatif itu tidak diperkuatkan, Hisham mengingatkan pendekatan seluruh kerajaan dan seluruh masyarakat mesti serasi untuk melawan virus Covid-19. “Virus tidak kenal sempadan dan tidak memilih etnik dan status sosial,” katanya di Facebook hari ini.Beliau berkata, pengesanan kes aktif mesti ditingkatkan ketika wabak sedang menular di pusat tahanan.

“Asingkan dan rawat kes positif dengan segera. Kuarantin kontak rapat dan nyahjangkit pusat masing-masing.” Kementerian Kesihatan hari ini melaporkan 27 kes penularan tempatan yang melibatkan warga asing dikesan di Depot Tahanan Imigresen di Semenyih, dan 6 kes di kluster baru di DTI Sepang.Warga asing yang disahkan positif dihantar ke pusat kuarantin pesakit Covid-19 di Taman Ekspo Pertanian Malaysia Serdang , kata kerajaan sebelum ini.
