Perhaps the literal biggest feature about the device is the screen size. Coming in at 6.82-inches, the LCD display may not be the best though as it has just a 720p+ resolution. You’ll get up to 450nits of brightness from the screen and a 70% coverage of the NTSC colour gamut.
Powering the device is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 system-on-chip, and is mated to either 4GB of RAM and 64GB storage, or 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. You’ll also be able to add expandable storage via a microSD card slot too for up to 512GB more. It comes with Android 11 out of the box and Nokia are promising up to 2 years of software updates for the G50.
As for the cameras, you’ll find a triple-camera setup on the rear with a 48MP main shooter. That gets flanked by a 5MP ultrawide lens as well as a 2MP depth sensor. The front of the Nokia G50 meanwhile has an 8MP camera for all your selfie needs. Furthermore, keeping the lights on is a 5,000mAh battery, with a fairly decent 18W fast charging via USB-C, compared to the 10W charging on the Nokia G20, its predecessor.
Other features of note include support for 5G, NFC, WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0, as well as a 3.5mm audio jack. There’s a side-mounted fingerprint sensor on the power button as well as an additional dedicated Google key. The Nokia G50 comes in two colourways: Ocean Blue and Midnight Sun.The Nokia G50 may have two different configurations, but so far only the model with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage is available for pre-order on the Nokia US website and ships on the 30th of Sept onwards.
