No decision yet on stricter conditions for seniors to renew driving licenses

While it has been proposed that all drivers above the age of 70 undergo a basic medical examination, the IGP is of the view that any new safety procedure will only be carried out after an evaluation and decision by all stakeholders. – The Malaysian Insight pic, September 25, 2021.

THE police have not decided on whether to impose new conditions for driving licence renewals for those aged 70 and above, Inspector General of Police Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani said. He said the suggestion made by Bukit Aman traffic investigation and enforcement department director Azisman Alias has not been thoroughly discussed.
