He said since the assembly sitting has been suspended due to the proclamation of Emergency, the meeting was necessary so that all assemblymen, including those from the Opposition, were aware of current developments as well as measures taken to ensure the vaccination plan was successful.
He expressed hope they would put politics aside and turn up so that they could play their part to ensure the success of the programme. “We need them to come so that they can explain to their constituents why they need to register to be vaccinated.Aminuddin said to date, 228,275 people or some 27% of those required to take the shots in the state have registered.
He said under phase one of the programme, 12,860 of the 19,249 people in the state have received the first dose of the vaccine.
