NSTnation “Priority for the disinfection process will be given to hotspot locations and public areas.'

The disinfection process, said Ismail, would be conducted by the Housing and Local Government Ministry through local councils with the cooperation of the Fire and Rescue Department at the respective districts.“It will also be carried at People’s Housing Projects as well as government departments and agencies.

“The hotspot areas include the two villages in Kluang that have been placed under the Enhanced Movement Control Order,” he told reporters here today. Since March 23, Ismail said the Kuala Lumpur City Council had conducted 11 disinfection exercises involving 11 markets under their jurisdiction. On other developments, Ismail said the government had brought home 2,612 out of 3,162 Malaysians stranded in 60 countries.

The mission to bring home Malaysian citizens who were stranded in Egypt, he said, would be carried out tomorrow using a special flight.
