Nanta says chicken, egg prices will continue to rise without govt intervention

Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister Alexander Nanta Linggi says the extension of the Malaysian Family Maximum Price Scheme until February 4 is one of the steps the government has taken to balance the rise in the prices of chicken and egg in the market. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, January 8, 2022.

THE price of chicken and eggs will go up even higher if there is no government intervention, Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister Alexander Nanta Linggi said. He said the government, along with the Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry , has and will continue to take proactive steps to balance the rise in the prices of chicken and egg in the market.
