PETALING JAYA: Najib Razak mengucapkan selamat hari jadi kepada Dr Mahathir Mohamad yang genap 94 tahun hari ini.
“Selamat hari jadi kepada Tun Mahathir. Semoga Allah kurniakan kesihatan terbaik,” tulisnya di Facebook hari ini. Mahathir yang merupakan perdana menteri tertua di dunia, meninggalkan Umno pada 29 Februari 2016 selepas tidak sebulu dengan Najib pada 2015 disebabkan skandal 1MDB. Ahli Parlimen Langkawi itu kemudiannya menubuhkan PPBM dan bergabung dengan PKR, DAP serta Amanah untuk membentuk Pakatan Harapan yang menamatkan kepimpinan Najib selama 9 tahun selepas memenangi pilihan raya umum tahun lalu.
Dalam temubual eksklusif pada Februari lalu, Najib memberitahu FMT perbezaan pandangan dengan Mahathir hanya membabitkan dasar dan tidak bersifat peribadi.“Perhubungan antara kami telah berjalan lama dan saya berterima kasih kepadanya kerana melantik saya sebagai timbalan perdana menteri dan menyokong saya sewaktu menjadi perdana menteri.”
