PETALING JAYA: Almost half of Malaysians are willing to abide by the movement control order (MCO) should it get extended once again, a survey revealed.

A poll by international agency YouGov Omnibus found that 46% of the 1,105 Malaysians surveyed said they were willing to abide by the MCO should this be indefinitely extended – as long as it would take to combat the spread of Covid-19.The survey, which was provided to The Star, showed that about a quarter said they were willing to abide by the extension for another two weeks while 15% had no issue with the MCO being extended even for another month.

The survey also found that a majority of Malaysians or 87% had agreed with the first extension of the MCO while only 5% disagreed with it. The survey revealed that those aged between 35 and 44 were found to be those most likely not to follow the order closely while 7% claimed not to do so. Almost half or 46% of Malaysians surveyed felt optimistic about the nation’s economic future following the fiscal stimulus package announced by the government. Those from high-income households of more than RM8,000 a month – 49% – said they were much more likely to feel pessimistic than low-income earners, with less than RM4,000 a month or 18%.

Yes it’s okay for Malaysian but how about foreign people those earning money from daily work really it’s not okay for them at all!!!!

I m still having current income = Govt / Org Asli

When worker are paid in full surely they welcome to the extended mco.. so it beat the purpose to survey

menda ni?

Its not a question of whether we are ok with it or not, its just because we don’t have a choice do we?

Be careful with what you wish for. It comes with a price. Some have to pay more than others. Some get a fortune from the pain of others.

I don’t think this is accurate
