The M'sian maritime enforcement agency says this poses a risk of an increase in Covid-19 import cases.

Coastline patrols via Op Benteng will be intensified to curb an expected increase of illegal immigrants’ entry through illegal landing spots along the Straits of Malacca Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency deputy director-general of operations Ibrahim Mohamed said there were possibilities that the migrants would attempt to find their way back into the country after the celebration, and this poses a risk of an increase in Covid-19 import cases.
