Ministries to discuss lowered property threshold for foreigners

THE Housing and Local Government Ministry will hold talks with the Finance Ministry on the decision to lower the threshold for foreigners to purchase high-rise properties in urban areas from RM1 million to RM600,000. Housing and Local Government Minister Zuraida Kamaruddin said there is a need to re-examine the policy as many Malaysians disagree with it.
