Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow said it is a constitutional requirement for the state legislative assembly to be in session within six months of the last sitting.

“If we do not meet within the six months, then our state legislative assembly will be automatically dissolved. In our case, our six months expires on May 6. “We will need to take into account the constitutional requirement as well as the Movement Control Order which is currently in place. “So, the coming session will be held in a shorter time period... possibly an hour or so," he told newsmen when met in Komtar here today.Meanwhile, Chow said that they have received queries from elected representatives on the coming state legislative assembly sitting.“We will have a full assembly session after the MCO to allow our elected representatives to raise any issues," he added.
