PETALING JAYA: The Selangor government has joined the call for non-governmental-organisations (NGOs) and Good Samaritans to stop supplying food to the needy during the movement control order (MCO) period.

Selangor public infrastructure and facility, agricultural modernisation and agro-based industry executive councillor Izham Hashim"We recognised the fact that the government intends to control the number of authorised personnel who can distribute essential items to the public.

"They are to be screened for Covid-19 first before and must adhere strictly to all guidelines pertaining to the MCO," said Izham on Sunday . Describing it will be"quite a job" for the state government, Izham assured that reviews are being made from time to time to assure the B40 group – whose livelihoods have been affected by the MCO –are not deprived of food aid.
