Matrade ramping up promotion in Chile, Argentina and Brazil

Matrade will be joining International Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Darell Leiking and other agencies under the ministry in a trade and investment mission to Chile, Argentina and Brazil, from May 20 to 24. — Picture by Sayuti Zainudin

Matrade chief executive officer Datuk Wan Latiff Wan Musa said Malaysian companies were set to benefit from the strategic bilateral trade partnership platforms that have been established with the three countries. Chile, Argentina and Brazil are among Malaysia’s largest trading partners in Latin America with Brazil being the largest.

Major exports to Chile were chemicals and chemical products, rubber products, wood products, while major imports from Chile were metalliferous ores and metal scrap, seafood, fresh, chilled or frozen, paper and pulp products.
