Tok Mat: Govt’s delivery system has to go completely digital post-Covid-19SEREMBAN: The government's delivery system has to go completely digital post-Covid-19, says Umno deputy president Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan. What, you only realized now? After years of bloated civil service? Digital service is cheaper & more efficient. It is common when one civil servant cuti, no one will be there to replace his or her work, and one must visit the office again, queue again when the staff returns. 1/2 Come to think of it, many services have gone digital, even during BN's time. I now hardly visit govt offices to pay or renew pernits & licences. Syabas to our govt for the shift to digital. Having said that, why is our civil service still getting bloated more than ever? The only govt dept I visit now is the Majlis Berbandaran to renew our 'Permit Premis' where we need to take the plastic plaque. If this can be sent to us, it would be even better.
