KOTA KINABALU: Masidi Manjun, Perikatan Nasional’s Karanaan candidate, said he was puzzled by calls by certain quarters for unity in their campaign trail when there was no schism in the state.“Maybe they feel the need to champion unity as they felt left out by those who are united,” Masidi, who is also Sabah PPBM deputy chief, said in a video currently making rounds on social media.
It is believed he was referring to Warisan Plus’ campaign which seems to be centred on unity. One of their slogans include “In God We Trust, Unite We Must”. Masidi said while Sabahans might be divided along political lines due to differing opinions, it had never affected their ties.
