PETALING JAYA: Malaysians are calling for the annual Ramadan bazaar to be called off, citing concerns over the Covid-19 virus, which have infected more than 2,000 over the recent weeks.

Social media users have expressed their fear that a potential third wave of Covid-19 cases could be triggered if the authorities gave the green light for Ramadan bazaars.

“This is a luxury, not a necessity. Keep markets and groceries open for essentials. Enforce the Movement Control Order , ” he said. Similar views were shared by Bobby Tan, who said that any indecision by the authorities could cause a spike in Covid-19 cases after the MCO ends, adding that it could put the efforts made by front liners to waste.

Jelita Rubina Kayani, meanwhile, proposed for Ramadan bazaars to take place on an online platform set up by the customers.

Yeah? What about Tarawih prayers? Or the all-important Friday prayers? Asking the real question here.

Whoever approves the go ahead with Ramadan bazaar this year, must be removed from his/her post.Even Saudi Arabia is suspending pilgrimage for the haj, the most important moment for every Muslim, what more this chaotic bazaar-which is not even compulsory.

Yup! Totally NO to ramadhan bazaar! And all for the tarawih prayers at home with families. As it is many are still not complying to the MCO.

Apa susah, kalau nak sangat bazaar ramadhan, buat laa Bazaar Ramadhan Online 😂. Semua delivery💃

Bazaars are not as important as celebrating Raya itself. There is a chance this pandemic would disappear before Raya. Sadly, christians for the first time all over the world will not be able to celebrate Easter because of this pandemic.

Agreed

Don’t be ridiculous la, still want bazaar?!!!

NO! NO! NO! We have enough to deal with as it is! Use your brains please, for once!

100% agreed

Who are you Malaysians? It is the Minister who is calling the shots. The Govt knows better just like during BN times....

Setahun ni ja takde x pe, tapi faham kesian pada peniaga

No bazaar ramadhan please! If the frontliners can sacrifice their time with their families for god knows how long, we malaysians surely can sacrifice 28 days of bazaar ramadhan. We stay inside and be healthy so we can attend 28 rounds of bazaar ramadhans in the future 😁

Definitely no! We won’t die if we can’t get stuff from the bazaar for one year. Let Ramadan be a time to reflect and think of those who are working tirelessly to keep us safe!!

Definitely no to Ramadan bazaar. You stupid Annular Musa wants to create a third wave of the covid-19 ? Forget about another scare and another MCO. The public does not want that MCO. It's a burden to all business society and the rakyat.

NoToRamadanBazaar

No bazaar Ramadan plse! We need to relieve our frontliners. They are exhausted!!

Unless they able to make COD (cash on delivery)? Sent murtabak, Roti John, Popia, Ns Briyani etc. Like seriously BulanRamadhan would be boring without it.

Please stand together to ask for no to ramadan or mass gathering....

No bazaar please till the condition improves. I just concerned about the third wave covid

No to bazaar please, Malaysians are simply not following rules. MCO also cannot follow. Let’s do it and a big ones next year when the world back to normal
