WALAUPUN China dianggap sebagai rakan, bukan tugas Malaysia untuk mempromosikan idea dan ideologinya, kata Perdana Menteri Dr Mahathir Mohamad hari ini. “Malaysia sentiasa menganggap China sebagai rakan kecuali bagi tempoh tertentu pada awal kemerdekaan kita ketika China mengamalkan komunisme yang mungkin boleh tersebar ke Malaysia. Kita tidak mahu begitu,” katanya pada persidangan Malaysia Beyond 2020.
