PETALING JAYA: Malaysia menyokong penuh keputusan Brunei selaku Pengerusi ASEAN berhubung isu perwakilan negara Myanmar pada Sidang Kemuncak ASEAN ke-38 dan ke-39 serta sidang-sidang kemuncak berkaitan.
Dalam pada itu, Ismail Sabri yang mengetuai delegasi Malaysia ke Sidang Kemuncak ASEAN ke-38 dan ke-39 melalui persidangan secara video menerusi ucapannya turut menyentuh pelbagai antaranya isu wabak Covid-19 dan vaksin serta pelarian Rohingya. Selain itu, beliau berkata, Pasukan Petugas Peringkat Tinggi yang menyediakan Wawasan Komuniti ASEAN 2025 seharusnya mampu menyiapkan ASEAN supaya menjadi lebih ampuh dalam menangani cabaran dan menerima perubahan.
